The Q Apartments

My wife and I have loved living at the Q for the last 4 years! It's in such a great location with Kerry park and all of upper and lower queen Anne within short walking distance, if you don't mind heading down the hill. Great food variety abound. The 2/13 bus stops are right outside and run frequently into downtown, and there are a variety of other bus lines just down the hill, but the Q also offers garage parking for reasonable rates and we haven't had any notable issues. Building management is onsite M-F and are excellent, especially Kory. They're very responsive to issues, and have an onsite maintenance man Des who has been very helpful whenever we have issues. On that note, it is an old building, and we have had many minor issues throughout our 4 years, but again management/maintenance

After 4 years, I cannot recommend The Q Apartments enough! You can't beat the location - great views (especially from the roof), walkable to some of the best restaurants in QA, and proximity to Climate Pledge Arena. It is an older building but you can't beat how amazing management (aka Kory) and maintenance (aka Des) are - extremely responsive and kind human beings who are really there to help you. The best affordable apartment you could find in upper QA!

This morning (around 7am ) my friends and I were enjoying the sunrise on the beautiful roof access point after spending the night at my cousins apartment at this complex when a gentleman wearing a Greystar-t shirt ,that I assume was security, and his trusty dog whom also sported a vest with “security “ on the side of it. Proceeded to swing open the stairway door and began to scream at us , telling us we needed to leave and that “ we don’t belong here and the cops are coming to get us” I tried to explain the situation and my cousin’s apartment number but this guy was not having it. H said “ there was no such apartment with that number” I was absolutely appalled but still tried to be polite and comply so we gathered our things quickly decided to exit the roof rather than try and fight wit

Pros * Staff seem like good people. Cory in particular. * Amazing views * Budget friendly * Generally large units * Cozy 70's vibe * Accessible by bus (nearby bus-stop) Cons * Old building and as someone pointed, some fixtures seem fragile * Not that clean * It is uphill (so getting there on a bike is not easy).

I would give a zero star review if possible. The building management is horrible and the building is falling apart. My experience has included; NO heat for a month, then heat stuck on for 6 months, stolen packages, stuck in the elevator multiple times, and nearly a week to clear my clogged bathtub drain. Plus when things are fixed the maintenance team usually leaves a mess to clean up. KEEP LOOKING.
