The Point at Rise

My partner and I lived at the VY Reston Heights for a year, we moved in late 2024. Where do I begin... The apartment interiors themselves are actually decent - though that is easy to find almost anywhere. That is where the "good" ends. Greystar, the managing/leasing company however, are an AWFUL company to rent from, or deal with in my opinion. 😬❌ Here are a few issues we faced during our tenancy: building fire alarms regularly going off in the middle of the night, parking garage safety (it is designed very poorly, and people fly around corners, sometimes with no headlights on, almost causing crashes, and cars getting frequently broken-into, and wheels stolen - see attached picture - there are no security cameras in most of the garage), and the occasional pet waste (urine and excrement) in

Chris is an outstanding leasing assistant. He walked us through everything with genuine patience and professionalism, making sure all of our questions were answered and that we felt comfortable every step of the way. He truly went above and beyond by still giving us a full tour despite our late reschedule, even extending his shift to accommodate us. His dedication, kindness, and positive attitude made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.

Vy did I ever choose to live here? I ask myself that question everyday. If you live here you will feel depressed and tortured by the fire alarm constantly going off even through out the night, which I don’t even think they do to war criminals and has been way worse since Greystar took over. The leasing office insists that Gold’s gym is the cause and that they are working on it but after over 2 years of almost monthly alarm issues and virtually no changes, you have to ask yourself how true that really is. Very fun for parents of young children or those who enjoy a full nights rest or spend any normal amount of time in their home. They decided Thanksgiving week was a great time to hold 3 days of fire alarm testing (5 hour block each day) and informed the residents the morning of at 10:30 am

Love it here! Probably the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. New modern building, sparkling clean elevators and hallways, love the kitchen in my apartment with the movable island. Complimentary Keurig beverages in the lobby 24/7. Awesome lounge areas and pool for gathering with friends. Staff is awesome, especially Kathy is a sweetheart, so friendly, helpful and truly cares about residents. So safe here I can walk to 7-Eleven at 3 am by myself in peace and solitude. Why buy a house when you have everything you need right here? 😃 Attn Manager who replied- I am NOT A VISITOR I AM A TENANT. You can tell by my photos and review. We did a tour with Chris and he was amazing. Great sense of humor, knowledgeable, and really made the tour feel more than just a tour. He answered all our questions and did an amazing job emphasizing everything The Point at Rise has to offer for future residents. Highly recommend Chris if you’re looking to tour :)
