The Point at Dunn Loring

Bed bugs. I rented a new unit (in 2024) and lived in it for maybe two days, and there were bed bugs. Management told me they could fix everything in two weeks, so I had to remove everything I had brought in and clean everything, then live in a hotel for two weeks. After the two weeks I came back in, stayed a night, and there were even more bed bugs. I pulled up the carpet and found an entire infestation. They did not waive rent, they did not offer me another unit at the same price, and I ended up being homeless for a few weeks until I found a place in my price range. I could not warn people enough about this place. EDIT: Since the management has replied, I am editing this to clarify that this happened around a year ago. This apartment complex is okay. There are a lot of conveniences with Harris Teeter being attached and a metro stop being close by. They also do a good job with keep the facilities clean (trash rooms, amenities, hallways, elevators, etc.) I did also lose a package and the leasing office and concierge team were very helpful when locating the package. However, the elevators are broken OFTEN and you cannot take the stairs to the parking garage where your car is parked. When I first moved in I also had an encounter with one of the concierges who was SO incredibly rude to me. I had no clue how the package system worked and she accused me of lying to her because I ordered a bed frame and it was delivered to a different room. I explained i had no idea how things worked and she slammed the door in

Marcelo was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process — from the initial tour to leasing the apartment and even afterward. The apartment is calm, clean, and very comfortable. If you’re planning to tour the apartment, be sure to ask for Marcelo. He’s an amazing guide!

I have been living in the point at Dunn loring for almost two years. It’s okay to live here. But I won’t recommend this apartment to any of my friends. The apartment has its pros and cons. But I feel the cons may outweigh the pros. Pros: 1. Right next to the metro station. I took metro to dc on daily basis. It took less than 5 minutes to the platform if you live in the 2671 building. 2. Harris teeter, Starbucks and great restaurants all within walking distance 3. Decent appliance 4. Plenty of parking space in the garage Cons: 1. Fire alarm triggered numerous times in the middle of the night. Usually 3 or 4 am. For at least 15 minutes. And there are times when two false fire alarm triggered in the same night. No ear plugs could shield you from that noise. This has been happened for 4 year
