The Pines at Cold Harbor

Every day there is new noise- kids screaming because they play in the parking lot rather than the designated playplaces, cars blaring music for hours at a time like there’s a party happening in the parking lot, or sometimes just people hanging out all day in the stairwells or benches, having yelling conversations and shouting their business to everyone at the top of their lungs. i’ve given up on opening the windows to let in fresh air- it isn’t worth the headache that will come in with it. If you value peace and quiet, this is NOT the place for you. Your neighbors will not respect that and the management will not care.

We’ve really enjoyed living here! The office staff is wonderful—always responsive and willing to help however they can. They go above and beyond by organizing fun community events like Easter egg hunts, movie nights, photos with Santa, and even surprising the kids with treats on their last day of school. Maintenance is also great—quick and efficient whenever something comes up. And in the summer, we’re at the pool every day! It’s been a great place to call home.

When we first moved in, we didn’t realize our apartment wouldn’t be one of the newly renovated ones. Our apartment came completed with knife marks in the kitchen and varnish coming off the cabinets. We eventually got a new dishwasher, but maintenance had to break the cabinet door to fit the new dishwasher. Also whenever we want to use the dishwasher, we have to lift the countertop because it’s coming off the wall. They told us that would be ‘fixed’ when they get the new cabinets. First they couldn’t fix it because Covid. Which fine. I understand that. And now they are telling us they can’t get cabinets. It’s been eight months. And they still raised our rent by nearly 20% on a decrepit apartment. Edit: I do want to say that maintenance and the office people are nice!

Save yourself the trouble and don't move here. It's ghetto, they have roaches, bad kids and teens always outside banging on doors and windows and on the crappy little park outside that older people take advantage of. Exercise room is a joke that's a hang out spot for the teens and shouldn't even be called a exercise room with hardly any equipment in it. A new person just moved in with an very aggressive dog which will end up biting someone. Dog goes crazy anytime it comes outside and sees anyone. Lived here for years and had numerous leaks in the downstairs closet and in our ceiling in the bathroom that still continues to have leaking spots. We had water dripping on our heads for weeks before the attempted to fix the first leak of several. They hire just anyone for fixing issues and for a

It is a good community. The neighbors are nice and like family. You have access to a gym,pool,playground, and awesome community events. The people in the office are super helpful and always listens to your concerns. They try to find solutions to any problems you may have. The paperwork to get in and renew is a little much but for the most part it is a better place than most to live.
