The Phoenix Apartments

I wrote that a window was damaged prior to my move in. I annotated it on the move in form which I was instructed to do, and told that it would be addressed prior to me signing my lease and it could take some time to fix. Not only has it not been addressed nor followed up on, when I went to the office myself, I was told it was not damaged, "to their definition", and that they would not be fixed unless it is supposedly cracked. The window is clearly different than a normal clear window, it is incredibly cloudy and has corrosion. It has been a month since my move in. So, though I believe they are friendly, the lack of transparency in this issue made me not trust managements word on maintenance. You get a 50/50 chance that the work order you place on the portal gets fixed right away. Last work order I did was almost a week ago and still pending… and that’s just replacing a light in the kitchen. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Other than that, rent is good and community is good.

The Phoenix Apartments and Overall Case and Associates apartments are apartment complexes that invest a lot in their outside maintenance which is nice. However when it comes to maintenance inside the apartment I’ve had so many issues, It took me 2 years for them to make my restroom fan (ventilation system) work. Thats after I called several times and maintenance would come and leave a note saying that they had worked on it (as they have for other things) but it was not fully fixed. Obviously since its an apartment the restroom didn’t have any other ventilation system so now I have had to deal with mold for the last 2 years , and when months ago I communicated this with management the main manager talked to me and gave me a speech on how I didn’t have proper hygiene and cleaning methods an

Let me start by saying that I do not live here. My daughter, her husband and their month old son do however. I have visited twice. Once to move them in and again when my grandson way born. On move on day the AC would not work. Maintenance was called and they showed up. They said the unit was froze up, it hadn't been running very long at all. The apartment would not get below 75°. That night it got up to 79°, at night! She ended up buying black out curtains to help block out the heat. They were told window units are not allowed. They were told inside units that have just a hose were not allowed. Most recently they were told to remove the blackout curtains because that style is not allowed. Maintenance has always acted promptly and professionally. We’ve lived here for almost 10 years and have had many different fixes that are normal wear and tear and maintenance always addresses our concerns in a timely manner. We’re very happy about that.
