The Parkside

Freight elevator did not work the entire year we lived here. The only passenger elevator was out of commission on and off throughout the year and for several weeks this spring. Not great when you live on the 8th floor. Management withheld a ridiculous amount from the security deposit for inflated cleaning charges. Do not recommend!!! **Reply to Parkside’s comment - Management was aware of the elevator issues - there was no working elevator in the building for extended times. Also, we did contact management regarding the security deposit and they claimed the crazy cleaning fees were in the contract.

i have lived here for about 1.5 years. like others said, the heating is a major issue. it is absolutely freezing in this building in the winter. the maintenance people are very friendly, but when i called them to fix a drip in my sink, they came and fixed the drip but broke the rest of the sink, so now it floods everywhere whenever i turn it on. also, if you try to make an appointment for maintenance to come, they will not come at the appointment time you requested. commonly, they will just show up at some random point in the day. it's extremely frustrating. the elevator breaks down all the time, once it was down for almost an entire month. my microwave is broken, my fridge (came with the apartment) is broken, my sink is broken. i don't trust the maintenance team anymore, so i will have to

Got a large sum mistakenly deducted from my security deposit. Agency would not respond to emails requesting clarification for deduction. They seem to be very disorganized.

The apartments are nice, but the heating system is a major issue. Despite numerous calls to management and maintenance, the heater barely works. Even when they temporarily turn it up after I call, it shuts off again soon after, leaving the apartment freezing at night. If heating is included in the lease, it should be reliable, but I find myself calling every day for no lasting solution. It's frustrating and inconvenient—this definitely needs to be fixed

I have lived here for 3 months now and the experience has been horrible, specifically with the heating and management company. Apartment has been consistently in the 50s with no resolution from management or maintenance, despite calling constantly. Would not recommend living here. Management does not seem to care about their residents and are often rude when talking to them.
