The Nine at Memphis

If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. To begin the entire building is absolutely disgusting. The residents ruin things because they’re angry with management and managment don’t care enough to fix it. Only one elevator works and it was out of service for almost a week. Another time I got locked out of my room and there was no way to contact anyone to unlock it due to it happening at night. Once management did know I was locked out it took them 6 hours to come unlock my door. After unlocking my door we found out my doorknob was also broken. The maintenance men and manager left without even offering to fix my doorknob. I then got locked inside my room two more times. Luckily I had a screwdriver inside my room and I was able to take the doorknob off entirely. I contacted manageme

The Nine is really starting to turn around since new management! We had some issues with power and Markeus has been great and made sure to stay in contact with us and reassure us that he’s handling everything. He was able to get our power back on. Carl the maintenance has also been great! He has fixed everything we’ve asked. I can see great improvement already and new management has only been here a month.

Since the new management company and the manager, Markeus, took over at The Nine in Memphis, the community has improved so much! Markeus has been incredible — he’s professional, friendly, and truly cares about residents. He’s quick to respond, follows up on requests, and always goes the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. You can really feel the difference with the new team in place. The property is cleaner, communication is better, and the whole atmosphere feels more positive and organized. Markeus and the new management company have made The Nine a great place to live again.

I’m not typically someone who leaves reviews, but this apartment complex warrants one (and it would be a zero-star review, if that was an option). Horrible experience all around. Outside doors are frequently propped open by other tenants, so anyone get can in the building at anytime. Additionally, the complex refuses to pay for security. Non-tenants solicit right outside the entrance, and cars are frequently broken into. The so-called “gated parking lot” gate has been broken for months and stuck open, so anyone can access the cars in the lot. Trash is littered and left everywhere in the common spaces, including the stairwells, the sidewalks, and the hallways. I (a student at the University of Memphis), had a 55-year old roommate!!!! This place has completely turned around with the new management! The new manager Markeus is super, super nice and really cares about the residents. You can tell they’ve made a lot of positive changes. It’s also a great place for students — well-managed now. Highly recommend!
