The Midlake Apartments

Midlakes is managed by Guide Property Services. The pictures reflect the unit when we received our keys. Pest issues, mold, carpet stains, broken cabinet and light fixture, and more. Did I mention serious pest issues like roaches and spiders?! We didn’t move in and had to pay to break our lease. We will never rent any properties managed by Guide Property again. UPDATE: The lease break fee, which was a significant amount, was not waived, despite the company stating otherwise in a public review response. Additionally, pest control and carpet cleaning were not coordinated, despite multiple requests during move-in with Ashleigh Groen and Isobel Alessandro. Living here was fine. Appliances broke and whoever did the remodel did an awful job (our dryer almost caught on fire because they hooked up the vent incorrectly), plumbing was backwards, etc. But it's an apartment, and it's cheap. The real damage was done after move out- they charged me for an entire repaint (even though they used the lowest quality paint I've honestly ever seen) $500, a new doorknob (aren't the required to change the locks anyway?!), unit clean (I paid $300 to have the place cleaned), carpet steam (also had this professionally done), and 20 days of rent AFTER my lease ended! They said I didn't return the key to the office (note- there is NO OFFICE) so I was being charged. I wish I could give -100 (NEGATIVE) star rating on a scale of 1 to 5. This housing community can easily rank in the worst communities not only in Bellevue, but probably in the entire US. Since the apartment community doesn't have any office, residents have to rely on the portal which not only remains defunt many times, but ovewhelming majority of the maintenance requests are kept pending for several weeks to months and eventually closed without any resolution. Appliances in the apartment are very old, so much noise comes from the neighbours. The leasing officers cannot be reached over phone, very seldom reply to voice or emails. I have recently moved to THE MIDLAKE APARTMENTS. The Deal which I was offered was awesome. The Manager Josh is such a great guy to communicate and get your work done. Recently I put two maintenance request and the issue was resolved by FADI way before I was back home from work. He has a very good team working with him which fix all the issues immediately. I refer people to be the future tenant for this apartment.
