The Marq-Roxy

Me and my now husband have lived in the Marq North building since it opened. We ever the 2nd people to move in. Our stay here has been amazing. We have a two bed two bath and the apartment is large and built beautifully. I’ve never had any issues with landlord, management company and maintenance. Everyone is the building is nice or stays to themself. The parking garage is extremely convenient and the rooftop is the best view in New Jersey. I recommend moving here for a hassle free move/living experience. We are only moving since we recently had a daughter or we would never leave the convenient location of being right next to the Lincoln tunnel in Hoboken.

My wife and I lived in the unit for 18 months. Overall - everything with the building is "fine". There's not much to complain about and nothing exciting to justify the cost either. We were promised a rooftop to be completed several month after our move in, but this was done the week of our 90 day opt out. The real issues (as we should have expected) are with the move out. We left the unit in great shape and they hit us with a $1,000 bill for general painting, general clean, and random "issues". I advice not moving in. The cost will not justify the neighborhood, which while safe, offers little in regards to night life and restaurants. Also, they will charge you upon move out so good luck with your deposit. I have been living in the Marq North, a new building across from the Marq, for about a year now. The units are spacious for a 1 bedroom with nice finishes and lots of closet space. The building is quiet for the most part, and the commute to Manhattan is very convenient. I also have tandem parking spots in the garage which is hard to come by in this area. The building management has been quick to respond when there is an issue in my unit or in the building.

We've lived at The MARQ since the day it opened! The apartments are beautiful, spacious and modern. The staff in the office and maintenance around the building are exceptional and always helpful! We have lived here for coming up to 4 years and absolutely adore the building, the neighborhood, the amenities! Its 5 star living in a wonderful community!

Lived here for 18 months. Apartment is great and building is nice. So why the one- star review? Management. Had to hire an attorney because management lied about what is and is not in the lease. They claim, for example, the lease states they can have access to unit for showings 90 days in advance. But that’s not what the lease says. It says 60 days. I had real estate agents entering my home during a pandemic with NO advance notice. They also tried to extort two months rent from me due to their own internal miscommunication. After threatening to take them to court, they dropped their request. Finally, NJ state law does not allow landlords to charge for normal wear and tear. While my apartment was pristine, they attempted to charge me for failing to clean out the stove, which I barely used.
