The Lois Apartments

The best building and management team I’ve ever experienced in my “rent” journeys. I’ve been living for a year at The Lois. The management is so welcome and helpful. Any issues or troubles were resolved in a matter of hours after the report. The building Super is living in the building, so he is always on call. He even helped me to put a TV on a wall. What I really liked is how QUITE it is in the building during the night, super quiet. Also the AC is central so there is zero noice from it as well. The building is cleaned every day in the morning. All the common areas are shine and bright. The dog park is hidden inside the building with only residents access, super convenient for dog owners. And there is zero fee for a flog which is nice. Before I moved in , I was told it will be a 24 hours concierge service but unfortunately that was a ruse to get me to sign the lease. I have been a Tena here for 3 years, and I feel like I have to update my review. If you come in after 10 pm and leave before 8 am , you are screwed ( you won’t get your package in time ). Fortunately the staff is very friendly when you are lucky to see them ! If you are in front of the building and don’t have your fob ready , you can only wish for someone to come in with a fob or leaving the building for you to get in ( during the week) . However, during the weekend when Alex is on duty , one don’t have to worry about getting in the building! Staff should be trained on how to be alert regarding the comings and goings of tenants! I have lived your three years . Loved it . Pretty responsive management . Super in building , Richie is super helpful . Extremely clean . They organise fun events . Packages are always safe as they have wonderful concierge staff . Highly recommend it :-)

Updated review as I’m coming up on a year in my lease: -Property managers never respond to your concerns it’s always the amazing concierge’s who connect with you and listen. -The parking garage is $250 a month just for the entrance to be blocked 95% of the time. -Doors broken in the front of the building and side of the building —people have stolen property inside putting the entire building at jeopardy. -The management does not communicate with us when unsafe situations have occurred. -We had mold in our laundry “room” and it was sprayed and painted over just for it to return and now we have a gaping hole in our apartment ceiling. -Paint peeling off on the ceiling -Anyone has access to our building

We were super excited to see the 2bd apartment with a terrace and were ready to apply since it seemed perfect for us from all aspects. Unfortunately, the leasing associate was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional which made us not consider this place for moving in. We were 15 min late due to the heavy traffic during after work hours - we arrived at 5:45 pm instead of 5:30 pm. In return, the leasing associate did not greet us , was very unfriendly, and answered our questions with clear annoyance. Unfortunately we had to leave without proceeding to look at the amenities since the agent was clearly not interested in showing it to us. It's the first time we've met such an unfriendly leasing agent. If you work in a customer service, try to be friendlier towards the potential customers .
