The Legacy at Drexel Arms Apartments

The people who run this apartment complex are absolute garbage. Been living down the street from here for the past 3 years and every time it snows they don’t even shovel the walkway or the steps. You can tell they don’t care about their tenants or anyone else in the area. I have also heard from a couple people who live there that there is an issue with mice and roaches. Avoid at all costs, this place really sucks.

The owner of this property, Cross Properties, systematically steals security deposits from its tenants by not returning them without any justification. At Good Food Flats (4030 Baring St), it has happened to at least 10 tenants this year (there are probably more); it also happens to tenants at other properties owned by Cross Properties, such as The Legacy at Powelton Village (3608 Spring Garden St). It dares to steal because it uses a shell company with no person attached to sign leases and receive security deposits, so even if you sue and win the case, there is no one to go after for compensation. Basically, the landlord is almost immune from legal responsibilities. Check the reviews of other properties owned by this company before you even think about renting here.

IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE LIVING HERE. I would have rather commuted 2 hours to school everyday. The landlords never answer emails or calls and if they do its weeks later, they never fix things on time. They are never in their offices and have even hid from one of my roomates when he went looking for her. He caught her hiding then she acted like she wasn't. These people are extremely unprofessional and hav made a living of taking advantage of the students of SJU. They changed management something like a year ago, and the property improved a lot after. Not the smoothest transition, but Anthony helped make that a much less stressful time.

Great place to live for a student! Anthony's one of the best property managers I've had - usually quick to respond to problems.
