The Laurent at Carolina Forest

This place is supposed to open the office at 10:00am on Saturday. No one was there until 10:10. I had an appointment and the woman working at the front Abagail was very unpleasant and not kind at all. Looked at me rudely when I can for my appointment early. It was pouring down rain. I wasn’t going to stand outside. My friend Nick just moved in there and recommended the place. What a bad recommendation. I can spend my rent money so many other places so I guess they just lost over $17,000 because of their rude leasing manager. The owner of this property needs to read this and respond. I will gladly call him.

When I first moved there in 2023, it was like living in a resort. The entire staff was courteous and helpful. I finally moved out in 2025 and it was like section 8 housing. Maintenance staff was still courteous and helpful but the office staff felt like I was at the DMV up north, unresponsive and discourteous. You have to watch where you walk in the common areas for the garbage and the dog “business” everywhere. The new owners have ruined a nice complex by hiring horrible office staff and not caring about their residents.

Tour was lacking we were very early by about 20 mins waited 15 mins to be seen was walked out to one of the buildings but elevator did not work so was taken elsewhere but tenant was sleeping on couch so again no show went back to office to be told sorry but I dont have anything to show U guys when its been booked for 2 weeks. Was informed could reschedule but even my bf saw doors warping and I saw the paint by a stairway popping and chipping off

I had the absolute pleasure of calling The Laurent home for over two years, and honestly, I can’t say enough good things. These were two of the craziest years of my life, and the staff here made every single twist and turn so much easier. From the wonderful property managers to the always-friendly front desk crew, everyone was flexible, understanding, and truly cared about the residents. The living conditions? Top notch. Everything was well-maintained, clean, and updated regularly. The amenities were an awesome! The pool was my happy place, the lake house was perfect for relaxing or hanging out with friends, and the gym was always in great shape. They take pride in keeping everything looking and feeling fresh, and it shows. Special shout-out to Edward from maintenance! This man is a rocks

This is the best and most amazing experience in rental living I’ve ever had. Samantha and her Team are attentive and actually CARE about their residents. The community is safe and quiet. Everything I need is within a 3 mile radius. My unit is beautiful and maintenance is super quick to tend to anything that needs attention. 100% recommend living here.
