The Islander Apartments

I went to visit my friend and came outside to grab a water bottle with my 2 year old daughter in my arms. The so called manager came at me screaming about how I needed to move my car, never asked just started screaming at me, I was nice and respectful at first and told him I would move my car. He proceeded to follow me back to my friends apartment and tried to get into my face with my 2 year old daughter in my arms and I told him to get out of my face and not to run up on me. I am so disappointed in the “management” of this apartment complex. When I tried to call the number on the website he answered and I asked for the owners number and he proceeded to scream at me over the phone.

The manager is not qualified to be an apartment manager. He must be related to the owner or something. He is rude to his tenants and the other tenants of the surrounding apartment complexes. I witnessed him having yelling matches over the years with a lot of them.

It was very frustrating as tenants were told that the power and washing facilities would be out of service from 8am-4pm due to maintenance. Fine, no problem. However when 4pm came and went and the power still wasn’t on, we were told that they wouldn’t be on till 8am the next day. Extremely frustrating but fine ok. Then at 8am the next day, the power still wasn’t on.

Lived here for over a decade. I like my unit. I like the management. I like the easy access to the freeway. I like the close proximity to shopping and medical.

I really want to rent here. I was told the owner doesn’t want anything to do with a voucher or any other program.
