The Hive Residences

This is the best place I have EVER lived! I am recommending it to all my favorite people I’d want as neighbors. The apartment layouts are so well thought out, management is fantastic, and maintenance is prompt (and he is an absolute sweetheart!). My peace of mind, and accessibility (disability-wise) is worth EVERY penny!

I moved into the area & invest in properties in Allentown. Spoke with a maintenance worker who gave me the maintenance directors number. I was trying to address a problem that required his assistance but he was so paranoid about how I got his number (as if the Feds were looking for him) I mean, what are you doing that you can't properly answer a call about a maintenance issue? He went on & on & on about how I hot his number. I've spoken to tenants & workers alike... this place is sketchy as hell. Can't get in touch with anyone to work together on common issues as neighbors living near the 7-11. (Drug addicts & vagrants bringing down our property values, harassing our tenants, etc) Never seen a maintenance director so worried or paranoid in my entire life. Something very fishy with that. On

Between the dates July of 2025 to November of 2025 I encountered a cockroach infestation that made me lose trust in my bathroom, kitchen, kitchen appliances, and living room. Below are pictures that provide time of death for each encounter.

The apartment is really nice. I like the amenities such as an in-unit washer and dryer, Internet handled with the rent payment, the fitness center and the community spaces. They have interesting weekly events going on for residents which is a great way to meet neighbors! I like the appliances and the amount of space I have for a studio apartment. The maintenance staff have been really helpful and fixed a lot of the small issues I had when moving in right away. The leasing agents are also helpful when they're available and really nice. The improvements i'd like to see are a little bit picky but here they are: the package room. Half the time nothing is sorted and the other half of the time it is sorted but it's incorrect. Updated Review (10/13): I’ve lived at The Hive for a while now and initially had a great experience — the previous building/community manager was a pleasure to work with, consistently showing professionalism and responsiveness. While I did face some frustrating issues earlier this year — including missed communication during a transfer request and ongoing WiFi problems — I’m happy to say things have significantly improved since then. The current staff have gotten up to speed, and I now have very few complaints. Maintenance and housekeeping continue to be excellent — prompt, courteous, and professional. Service tickets are addressed quickly and thoroughly, and the common areas are always well-kept. Overall, my experience has improved considerably, and I’m glad to see management making n
