The Highline apartments is the best place to live downtown. There is so many positives about living here. It doesn’t just feel like another apartment complex, it’s more of a community. Starting with the leasing agents, Morgan and Carina. They are super friendly and very active within the complex. The maintenance people at the apartment are amazing as well. They are fast to fix any issue and leave like they were never there. All in all a great complex to live at.
I’ve lived in the Highline building for over a year now, and overall, my experience has been disappointing in several ways. When I first toured the unit, I wasn’t informed that the windows don’t open — a detail that would have definitely influenced my decision. This became a real problem after move-in, when a persistent, unpleasant odor filled the apartment. Because there was no way to ventilate the space, the smell lingered for days. Ultimately, management had to relocate me to a different unit. The first apartment also hadn’t been properly cleaned. The microwave was extremely dirty, and it was clear that basic attention to move-in readiness was lacking. Unfortunately, the second unit had similar issues: another dirty microwave, food spilled in the cabinets, and one of the breakers rand
Great place to live. Management and maintenance care about resident satisfaction. When issues arise (which is rare) they are addressed promptly and professionally. I feel that rent prices are in line with a fair market value for the living spaces and amenities. As others have stated on here the windows are old and can sometimes have a slight draft if it's windy outside. However, I have not had any issues with heating or cooling performance. I think the folks who've put up negative reviews are more one-offs than anything and probably went looking for reasons to complain. The ONLY thing they could do differently to get a 5 star rating from me would be to accept AMEX for rent payment.
I've lived here for the last four years and sad to say, but things started out great but have deteriorated a lot. I used to love how calm, safe and quiet things were. Now I see the police here quite often. The hallways smell like dogs, because they allow all types of dogs, even pitbulls. The security doors are always open. Thing's are constantly broken in the common areas. The trash chute is constantly jammed up. The trash can in the basement is full on the weekends so trash is everywhere. And the garage door is stuck open so your vehicle is not secure. I used to praise the highline, but now I can't wait until next year to move out. (Update 12-01-25) They have addressed all of my concerns and brought my experience back to what I was used to when I first moved in. All I can say is I'll be h
I have been a tenant here for almost a year (already renewed my lease for this year)! The office staff are very friendly and professional. I have had very little problems while living here, and when I have they were promptly addressed and handled by management/maintenance. They keep the entire building very clean, and it’s really nice having a garbage / recycling shoot, and shopping carts to bring in groceries. The pool/hot tub and grills to use in pool area and 8th floor is a nice amenity to have! Oppd can get a little expensive in the winter, but that’s to be expected in an older building without operational windows. Overall I have no complaints, and plan to make the Highline my home for a while! Super nice being close enough to take a short walk to Gene Leahy, even better being far enou
