The Helston Apartments

I had a terrible experience with this apartment management. They charged me application fees that were completely unjustified, and the situation only got worse from there. After they cancelled my application, I was still being asked to pay additional fees that made absolutely no sense. Despite explaining the situation multiple times, they continued to pursue the charges instead of resolving the issue professionally. To make matters worse, they sent the balance to debt collections, even though the application had already been cancelled. This feels extremely unethical and unfair. The communication was poor, and it seems like they are more focused on collecting fees than treating potential residents with honesty and transparency. I have been at the Helston for over a year now and have nothing but positive things to say. The staff is amazing from the maintenance staff who have address all of my requests in a quick and efficient manner to the people in the leasing office like LaRon. He is so friendly and helpful he is always around to answer your questions and to resolved any issues. The apartment is near by so many shopping centers restaurants and there are a lot of walking trails close by as well. I would highly recommend to check this place out if you are looking for an apartment.

Lived here for 10 months, never had a problem. Center city is about 20 mins away by car, and Bala Cynwyd shopping center is less than 5 mins away. Friendly staff ~ Andrea and Dan are very professional and easy to work with. The apartments are quite spacious, and there's plenty of room for parking.

I stayed at the Helston for over 2 years and during that time everything was fine except the last year when community manager Sheriana came she was by far the worst manager I ever came in contact with very rude, very unhelpful, very unprofessional, closing the office at times that were not listed stating “she was done for the day” after having me and others waiting for an hour, I handed my keys in at the end she did not even speak to me just looked at me, it was the worst experience left a terrible taste in my mouth I recommend the Helston to several people because of the management of LaRon and Jess at the time I could not make a separate 5 star review for them but they were incredible especially LaRon if you ever move here try to deal with him directly.

I am a friend of an older resident there. And this place always has issues, the air conditioning unit going out the unit leaking water into the apartment upstairs and downstairs. Light fixtures full of bugs. You can hear mice in the walls. They get food delivered from a service, because of his health. Food was stolen and they never replaced or even symptomized about it. It was like oh well. Doors kept falling off the hinges. And they took forever to put it back on. Rent is over $1500 for a studio that changes from month to month for utilities. Fast forward they have an issue with a fellow tenant and the tenant is harassed them time after time. He gets fed up they have an altercation and then the other tenant continues to push his buttons they have a verbal altercation and he takes him to c
