After just three months (Feb–Apr 2025), we decided to move out early because we didn’t like the place. Before moving, we spoke several times with Keenan and Kyle about our options. They said the best route was to buy out the lease for $4,552 (two months’ rent + a $1,000 concession we received at move-in). We agreed. A few days before moving, Kyle called out of the blue to say they’d already found a new tenant and asked us to return the keys. When we dropped them off on April 30, both Keenan and Kyle confirmed we’d owe nothing except a cleaning fee. After moving, the May rent was deducted from the portal. Then, over two months later (July 2), Gates Hudson suddenly claimed we owed $2,172.87, including $330 in “damages”—even though we have video proof from the final walkthrough—and utilitie

After reading some of the bad reviews, I thought I had made a mistake moving into these apartments. Since I’ve been here, there haven’t been any issues. The gym, pool, yoga studio, and **coffee machine** are all in working condition. One of the residents told me they had a great time in the golf simulator. Yes, rent and amenity fees are on the higher end but it’s well worth it. Just a heads up, if you get an apartment facing the road, the baseball stadium has fireworks Monday and Friday night in the summer.

Don’t come here. That is my advice to anyone who is thinking about it. I have been here for 2 weeks and it sucks. I regret being here. 1-Construction: Poor. You hear and feel every step and sound. Ceiling, doors and windows are cracking. No privacy or comfort. I feel earthquake many times every day when neighbors walk, run, cough or use anything. You wake up middle of night because of that. Light was about to fall over me from the earthquake movements 2-Front Desk: the worst ever. They are superficial. Pretend that there is no problem and you have delusions. Don’t take complaints seriously. I have been complaining since my second day about noise and building cracks and they havenot done anything for 10 days till I complained 4 times and kept saying I can’t sleep since I am here and eventu

The leasing agent lied to me saying I could get a 6 month lease after my first 12 month lease to get me to sign the lease. Once my 12 month lease expired they said they only do 12 month leases and that I would have to pay 2 months rent to break the lease. The first time I used my washer it flooded my entire apartment within a couple minutes to a point where the downstairs neighbor had water dripping into their apartment. I called maintenance, and they fixed it, but the entire drain hose for my washer was not connected. It completely soaked everything in my living room, kitchen, and entrance of bedrooms. They failed to check appliances for any issues before move in which would only take a couple minutes. The apartment feels overpriced for what you get in Morgantown, especially since rent
