The Hathaway at Willow Bend

These apartments deserve zero stars. I was supposed to get a renovated unit but none were available although they were advertised on the website. The unit I received was dirty and unacceptable. It looked like someone had just moved out and then they tried to move me in. When I brought this to managements attention the only thing they offered was to change the blinds and for me to wait 6months for a unit I should have originally received. I asked for corporates number / email and never received it. There were so many inconsistencies I’ll just add pictures

If I could leave less than one star, I would. This place is the definition of too good to be true. Buyer beware—what you save in rent, you will pay for in repairs, electricity, and constant stress. I lived here for 12 months, and I swear every two weeks something new went wrong—and not minor issues either. Within the first two weeks, the ceiling of my patio started caving in, with nails exposed. My first electric bill was nearly $500 for September. What you save on rent, you end up paying in electricity because the building’s insulation is absolutely terrible. When it snowed briefly in February, my bill jumped to almost $600—and I live alone, keep the heat at 65°F, and don’t run tons of electronics. Winter was miserable. My apartment was freezing. I’ve lived here for almost 3 years and love it here! I’ve lived in both updated and non updated units and think they’re all great. The amenities are nice, the location is near basically everything, plus Natalie in the office is the SWEETEST ever. She is so helpful and easy to work with. The prices are awesome for the amount of space you get and the location. The creek that runs through the apartments is such a beautiful part of the property + I love that I can watch the turtles swimming around from where the main pool is located in the summers. I’ve even recommended some of my friends move here. Love it, ya’ll are the best! 🫶🏼

The online listing for this apartment is misleading. The exterior photos are outdated, the building is currently a worn navy blue and appears more weathered than advertised. I scheduled a tour for Monday based on the available scheduling options and Google’s listed business hours, both of which indicated the office would be open. However, when I arrived for my scheduled tour, the signage on the building stated the office was closed. As a prospective resident, there was no way I would have known. Also, the property did not appear to be structurally or visually well maintained, which was concerning.
