The Hartley at Sweetwater Creek

Imagine being unable to sleep because the furnace inside your unit and directly outside your window is insanely loud. Imagine being sleep deprived because management refuses to fix it in a timely manner. Imagine going to the property manager to ask for an ETA on the replacement unit, only to be told they “don’t know.” Imagine maintenance gaslighting you by saying the unit is working fine while you’re forced to listen to this noise every single day. Actually, don’t imagine it. This is the reality here!!! Save yourself the frustration, exhaustion, and disrespect do not lease here!!!!!!

I’ve lived at The Hartley for over 2 years and I have had the best experience with this new management this last year. Alina is so great and gets things resolved right away. Marwin the manager has really done a great job in keeping this community up. I truly recommend this property if you want to move to the Duluth area!

I have lived here for four months, and choosing this apartment has been one of my biggest regrets. From the very beginning, there were red flags. I was not provided with a full breakdown of move-in fees until the actual day I moved in. Although this should have stopped me, I had already scheduled movers scheduled. During my move-in walkthrough, I immediately noticed at least 15 issues that should have been addressed by maintenance or the property manager beforehand. It was clear that no professional or reputable cleaning or turnover company was used to prepare the unit. In just four months, there have been three different valet trash companies. I can’t say enough good things about The Hartley at Sweetwater Creek — but what truly sets this community apart is the outstanding leadership of the property manager, Marwin. From our very first tour, Marwin was welcoming, organized, and genuinely attentive. He made move-in smooth, explained the resident process clearly, and personally followed up to make sure everything in our apartment was perfect. His professionalism and friendly approach turn small issues into easy fixes — he coordinates maintenance proactively and checks in after work is completed so you actually feel cared for. The apartment itself is renovated and comfortable: modern finishes, roomy closets, and the convenience of an in-unit washer/dryer. We moved here about two weeks now and it has been great! The staff is truly incredible. Fabiola gets all the credit for me moving in! She was an incredible agent. The manager is so kind and thorough, his management style is incredible. Not to mention maintenance! Anthony is efficient and truly cares about making your living experience great!
