The Hargrove at Southpoint Apartments

i have had issues with some outlets not working, and they haven’t been working since December 2025. someone came over to look at it on December 31st, 2025, said he’d get his supervisor to come back that Friday of that week, which would be January 2nd, 2026. but the supervisor unfortunately never came. i kept calling and texting the AI assistant Scottie, which sucks by the way, i would much rather talk to an actual person but whatever i guess. today, i receive a message saying that my work order has been looked at and started. about 15-20 mins, i received another message saying my work order is on hold, saying they need to get an electrician. okay fine, i mean i could’ve told you that but whatever. i come home from work to find out that all my lights and outlets do not work in my bedroom o

I ended up deleting my previous review because I recognize that I was in the honeymoon phase with this complex and now I'm starting to see the significant issues, specifically where maintenance issues are concerned. Spoiler alert: The reviews are right. Ever since the beginning of August, every few days or so, water starts pouring from the ceiling in my bathroom, specifically from these weird pock-holes in the ceiling over the tub, and straight from the fan. The most that's been done is a man will come out with a water-vacuum machine to suck up the water off the floor. Which, great, but that doesn't actually solve the problem of the leak. I usually do not write reviews on apartments because you’re always going to have good and bad anywhere you go, but the Hargrove at Southpoint was an exceptionally horrible experience. I do not know how this place has the ratings it does (they are probable are removing bad reviews and posting false good ones). Please read the reviews and take them to heart because most of what people are saying are very true. We moved in to what we thought was a beautiful apartment. Take a good hard look. All cheap labor was put into covering up the actual conditions of the apartments (pictures attached). Our very first night, our neighbor notified us our shower was leaking downstairs (this was right before they threw their first loud party). These apartments are in new management and I have seen much improvement so far. We know, however, that the owners of Hargrove are notorious for the rollover of management (I have seen over a dozen in just the past 2 years!). The jury is still out on the manager and his effectiveness here (Monday’s are closed btw), but the new maintenance crew does seem effective for effort at least. They are timely and work on maintenance requests within 24 hours (those that they can do). They are good at cleaning up after themselves but they do need to communicate with residents via reports as to what they have done and that they were in our apartments. **** DO NOT MOVE HERE **** My AC broke on 5/31, submitted a Work order through the portal to be fixed. Left for the weekend, came back on Sunday June 2nd and noticed that maintenance had entered my home (without alerting me) and installed an AC window unit in my living room. I was upset that they didn’t contact me first, but grateful for the window unit. According to my work order, the AC should have been fixed on June 4th. My elderly mother stayed in my apartment while I went to work in case the maintenance crew showed back up. Nobody did. On June 5th, I contacted the front office and asked them when my AC was going to be fixed.
