The Guild House

Update after 4 months - place has a huge roach infestation and I just moved out 😩🙌🏾, roughest 5 months. If you don't HAVE to live here, don't move in. This place has treated me horribly and caused me more trauma since moving in. They have an essay of crazy rules they will tell you AFTER you move in, and they routinely go through your rooms without your permission for "checks." The place has roaches and mice that will seep through the cracks into your room from other residents. I have encountered a lot of residents who are hostile/ passive-aggressive. The staff is abusive/very pervy and will open your mail and harrass you in AND out of the building. They rarely clean the bathrooms, so you have to dodge the dirt left behind from other residents as in spitting toothpaste on the shower wal

Not at all luxurious, but perhaps the most convenient place to live as a college student, young professional, and any other person seeking very affordable housing in a prime location of Boston (3-minute walk from a T station and a BU Bus stop, across from BU campus, nearby Newbury). If you are not built for communal living, this place will not be for you - otherwise, it is comparable to any college dorm I’ve ever lived it. Noise, breakdown of amenities (laundry room was honestly a consistent issue - I’ve had to ring my clothes out by hand on several occasions because of the faulty machines), and other similar issues are definitely present, but I found it manageable. Also there was a minor issue of some pests in the building (roaches, other bugs, occasional mouse - the common city life pest

I helped a very sweet woman who was mute get to the guild house and I'm very thankful for that experience.

Good concept for single women seeking to live in an affordable place. Beautiful chapel downstairs that I was able to visit and pray in.

This is a great community. The managers Kaeleen and Alina are wonderful and kind people. It’s single rooms, shared kitchen and bathrooms and quite affordable for the area of Boston. Security guard over night too. Love this place
