The Grove at Lyndon Apartments

I do not recommend renting at The Grove at Lyndon! Terrible management! I have been dealing with a serious unresolved ventilation system issue in my apartment. The system produces extremely loud mechanical noise and strong airflow, which constantly disrupts my sleep. I can’t sleep with ventilation system on. The airflow also circulates dust throughout the apartment, which significantly worsens my medically treated dust allergy ( it’s blow so hard). I reported this issue multiple times. Maintenance workers visited and even indicated that the system likely needs major repair or replacement. However, management refused to perform proper repairs. Lived here for a year, moved out a couple of months ago. The Grove at Lyndon was a great experience. The apartment building: well kept, everything is clean, landscaping is always on point, very good windows keeps the electric/gas bill low Maintenance: absolutely great maintenence, never had to wait long for any service. They show up and fix any issue in a very timely manner. Staff: super friendly staff, open to help with anything, always make time to speak with you about your concern or question. Neighbors: other than one neighbor who played his guitar speakers way too loud, the neighbors are definitely awesome. We lived in this residence for one year in a 1-bedroom apartment and decided to upgrade to a 2-bedroom in the same property. That was a big mistake. The new apartment was in catastrophic condition when we moved in. We tried to accept most of the issues, but the toilet situation is absolutely unacceptable. The inside of the toilet is completely black, looks extremely unsanitary, and cannot be properly cleaned. It looks like it has not been maintained for years. On top of that, the toilet constantly clogs and does not function properly. We are dealing with repeated plumbing issues in addition to the terrible condition. We contacted management and were told they would try to fix it, and if it did not work, they would replace it. Now they are refusing to replace it even though the problem

I just moved out of 7712 apt. A in December and it has 3/4 different types of mold actively growing inside. I had to get two separate mold inspections paid out of pocket by me. The apartment refused to do so. Both inspections showed active mold growth. In July the maintenance man visibly saw the mold and cleaned it with bleach. I kept insisting we still had mold and they either said we didn’t have it or they would just place a dehumidifier. At one point a maintenance man cut a whole in our ceiling and said he would “test” it ? Which we never heard anything back after that. Cutting the whole in the ceiling made the mold on the ceiling grow faster and spread even more in the bathroom. This went on for about 3 months of going back and forth to just be neglected. I hate having to write this review. I really enjoyed my time at the grove and the maintenance team absolutely rocked! Any time you had an issue the maintenance team was quick to respond and absolutely great to work with. The apartments are a little dark because they don't have much natural lighting or overhead lighting... but it wasn't terrible. During my time living at the grove I would say it is a solid 4/5 stars... Unfortunately, after moving out that completely changed. Three weeks after moving out I received a bill for over $660 form "extremely worn out carpet" after pushing more I had images sent to me of the apparent damage... there wasn't any damage. The apartment complex also did nothing to repair the carpet. I then had to spend a month disputing the charge with the parent company
