The Grand @ Station

I have lived at The Grand, in Clinton, CT, for 1 1/2 years. The building has not been completed. There are hazards everywhere you turn. There is unfinished lighting, with exposed wires, in the common areas and temporary stairs going from the lobby to the second floor. There is no railing on the front entrance to the building which has caused numerous accidents. This building is not handicap friendly. There is no ramp at the front entrance to the building. As residents we have been continuously over promised and under delivered on finishing this building. Many residents have chosen to break their lease and move because of this. I would not recommend renting from this company.

Overall the experience has been OK. The apartments themselves are beautiful, they did a really nice job with picking appliances and paying attention to the smaller details. However, the complex/company itself is where my review really comes into play. We were overpromised a lot of things when we took our initial tour, most of the things which were mentioned were not actually done. One thing we were told was that we had the option of putting in barn doors to the extra "bedroom" which isn't actually a bedroom, it's a den (It does not have a closet)., so the people that were promised barn doors and have moved in are now stuck with just one open room with no doors. Once the building was completed it was beautiful. The train was not an issue at all. Was told a gym would be built but it wasn’t. Also took 45 days to get my security deposit back after being told there were NO damages to unit.

Apartments are in great shape. Kate and Joe make it smooth and easy from the start. Would definitely recommend
