Handsmill on Lake Wylie is one beautiful community!! I was blown away by the luxurious entrance and gorgeous trim detail. There are so many standard features that most builders consume as an upgrade. The ceiling height is a super plus as this is what gives more depth and an open feel. The interior of the the house was delicately and elegantly designed very well. The exterior is simply gorgeous and gives off a very clean and welcoming look. Last but not least for your entertainment purposes they have a beautiful clubhouse that includes a fitness center, Catering kitchen, Social lounge, pool, etc. the subdivision is super welcoming. Handsmill is a real gem! The lots are beautiful with many sites backing up to trees and some with water views! Heather is a wealth of knowledge and gave us great ideas on models and lots and welcomed us to explore the Handsmill community. This is a great 55+ community!

Handsmill is a very organized 55+ community with amenities and organized social events. Heath from the model office was very informative and answered all our questions and took the time to walk the lots and framed spec homes.

Sales rep, Mike, greeted us (realtor and spouse) with "..thought you would be here at noon" when clearly our appt was at 1pm verified with email which he finally acknowledged. He skirted most of our questions. After a second 2.5 hr visit to verify lot layout where we clearly showed interest in moving forward he sold lot from under us without notification. The Kolter marketing director, Bill, returned our request for a follow-up - was curt and said their job is to sell lots quickly. Customer service is non-existent. While we are incredibly disappointed we did not get the opportunity to purchase our home we are grateful that the "used car sales" approach kept us from making a mistake by moving forward with vendor with low integrity and no transparency.

Please note most of the “five star” reviews are from “local guides” as in people that don’t actual live here and have never even seen the property but they’re paid by the developer to post positive reviews. Beautiful trees being needlessly torn down, yet still claims they’re “wooded homesites”. Stay away, this developer is Bad News.
