The Gallery Apartments

LOVE the Gallery and Playa Pacifica. Yes, both. I have lived at both properties and I have nothing but great things to say. Friendly staff, neighbors and dogs. Best location - 2 blocks from the Strand/Ocean - for an active person with a dog.

The place is close to the ocean and that is nice. Other than that...constant plumbing issues in the apartments with feces gushing out the toilet in random apartments, sewage leaking in the basement on top of cars, issues with the laundry equipment, constant issues with the laundry card machine that is locked and you have to chase the maintenance people to get accustomed refill your card...issues with second hand smoke leaking through the vent system, coming in through the window cracks and very high rent! If you plan to renew your lease instead of your price going down it goes high over the advertised price. I attached photos of the patch work they did before we moved in. This is a 2500 usd loft.

I just can not give this place a good review. It’s okay at best. What makes this awful is the management company. They are unresponsive and ignore issues and concerns. They have this attitude like you are putting them out. The Manager is condescending and incredibly rude to tenants. He will bold face lie to your face. They will lie and manipulate facts to avoid providing you with the standard of cleanliness and functionality that was promised when you rented. They raise the rent every year and refuse to do any fixes or replacements as needed. I have a unit that faces into the interior of the building not the streets. I have had multiple items stolen from my deck including a privacy screen. Not sure how that was pulled off pretty bold. For what you pay a month for a few hundred more and yo

Almost a year in (time flies) and it's all been great. Only one minor maintenance request but the guy came right away on a Saturday and fixed it, no problems since. The people in the office have all been really nice and maintenance too. The location is great and I really like the apartment and my friends that visit are always impressed by the size of the loft and the balcony. Definitely not looking to move again for awhile.

I must say I have never lived anywhere quite like this befor. I have been living here for about two years and I'm still just as impressed as the first day I moved in. Although the property, the apartments and the area are all awesome, it's really the staff that makes this a home for me. From the office staff to the maintenance staff I never have to wait too long for service, they are always so kind and attentive, and everyone goes above and beyond. Some other highlights for this place include fun but also respectful neighbors, a block from the beach and walking distance to nightlife and reaturants, a steam room to melt away my stress and security in several forms. I love, love, love this place and recommend it to everyone.
