In my recent experience applying for an apartment at this property, I encountered extremely poor customer service. Despite ultimately being denied housing, I was initially willing to recommend the property to a friend. However, she experienced significant mistreatment—including discrimination and a complete lack of support from management. We tried to contact the district manager, Rosa, who handles leasing, but no contact number was provided, making it impossible to reach her. This is especially concerning given that this property receives government subsidies, which should come with greater accountability. The maintenance worker Richard was amazing! I had an issue with my AC and he was able to resolve the issue that same day when it was hot outside. I have lived here for way too long and I was impressed with Richard's experience and the great job he did for me. Previous maintenance workers didn't ever do a great job like Richard. I have had this AC problem for over 3 years was never fixed! Thank you Richard for your hard work and great service.

I lived here for 9 years before recently moving on and I have to say of all the places I could have lived long term this was one of the best. When comparing to apartment living spaces among friends, I found The Fields at Merrifield to be above standard. As others have mentioned there is a huge issue with people not disposing of their trash in the dumpster at the entrance properly but the maintenance staff are always quick to clean up when they're working. There is an issue of mice and roaches across the complex but if you keep a clean apartment and avoid giving these pests an opportunity to reproduce (cardboard boxes, food left out, etc.) then pests shouldn't be a problem.
