The East Hill Apartment Building- Ridgetop

Do not rent from The east hill! All they care about is money, the rent gets raised yearly based off what they call market, but if anything breaks, they will not replace it, but will send maintenance to attempt to fix, then charge you for it being broken when you move out. We complained about the paint peeling next to the dishwasher since it let out steam during the drying process, over time it began to peel the paint, some how we were charged for the cabinet Installed a floor to ceiling mirror since the only one is in the bathroom yet charged us 200 to remove it. Did I mention they charge you extra just to park your car! Previously it was included, but then they had it paved they started charging! Stay far away! Tenafly is a nice town, but this apartment is not worth it!

This apartment is disaster. We moved in two years ago and there were hangers installed on the doors. We thought those were provided by apartment so we were pleased by the service at that time. But one month ago, we moved out and the apartment said they would charge us $400 for installing the hooks which damaged their doors! This is so ridiculous, they even asked us to provide photos when we moved in to prove those hooks were there, who as a tenant should make a record what is in the apartment when moved in? why the maintenance staff not make a complete checking before next tenant moving in? This is unreasonable charging and the attitude of staff is rude, do not rent this apartment!!!

I live here and Horrible money grab apartment.They increase rent unfairly. Lose your key, it’s $200 charge for the Super just to open the door for you and not considerate.. The way rent goes up here if you are not ready for that, DO NOT move here.. In two years, it has gone up ridiculously.

I've lived here for 7 months and so far it has been wonderful. The management team and superintendent are super responsive, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the neighborhood is ideal on so many levels (NY commuting, walks, cycling, birds, deer, etc.). As a professional who works in the city, when I get off the bus in the evening, it always a sigh of relief to come home to.

Most useless and incompetent management of any apartment complex I've lived in. Refused to fix laundry/washing machine unit when it stopped working.
