Stayed here for a year, being a newly constructed apartment complex, all the appliances and light fixtures were brand new as well as energy saving, which factors in more than I can elaborate. There was a nice little key fob which gave access to the electronic apartment lock and in turn access to all the amenities as well. It barely took up any space on my keychain, which I liked since keys clunking around in the pocket can be a hassle. The washer and dryer was huge, have always had problems washing huge comforters, but none of that here. The apartment was very well insulated and so the HVAC was very efficient, even on the top floor, not to mention that the sound proofing was great as well. I have lived at the Current from 2022 to present 2025 and I am not renewing. My experience was great when Hatch Local was open during that time you would expect noise due to a food hall being below so that was okay. Fast forward to new ownership and the apartments in my opinion have gone down. New ownership has enforced pool hours which for the most part is not enforced. Tenants or people who don't pay rent here are in the pool area until the wee hours of the morning. This makes for a horrible living experience especially when you work from home and you are also in need of sleep- future tenants beware. My husband and I really enjoyed living here for the past year and a half, until now. We put in a ticket about two weeks ago because our washing machine broke. Maintenance came and took the machine away for repair. My husband explicitly told them if they were going to knock on the door to come before 10:00 am or after 4:00 pm because he is a night worker and has to sleep. Every time they came up it was in the mid-afternoon and did not respect his schedule. Multiple times we were told "it's coming tomorrow" and it did not come tomorrow. The management offered to let us use another vacant unit for washing our clothes if necessary, then we said we were ready to do that and asked for a key, they said not necessary because its coming today (we still dont have the machine). 👎👎 Living here has been incredibly frustrating. There is zero communication from the management team. Maintenance requests go unresolved for weeks — I’ve had one open for over a month. Every time I follow up, I’m told it will be done “in 2 days,” but nothing actually happens. Even when management says they themselves will come to fix it, they don’t show up — and you only realize they’ve left for the day when you go back to check in person. The maintenance staff are great and friendly, but getting hold of them is nearly impossible unless you chase the management constantly. On top of that, the pool area has basically become a public spot. There’s no access control — people from all over the neighborhood come in freely. This is the best place to live downtown. So much to do around this Manchester area, the residents are friendly, and it is very up-kept. Ethan is a great employee who will assist you in a very quick and efficient manner, too!
