The Cottages at Riverlights

I did not hate my stay here, but after looking for a new place and doing effective research, just know you can definitely get more bang for your buck. I was not able to come to Wilmington and see the Cottages in person, and was sold on the small yard, considering I have two golden retrievers. First off, I never had any issues here with the parking, management, or my unit in general. The main complaints I have are the dog park, the price per square foot, and the lack of storage. The one storage closet I had contained the water heater, so I was only able to put cleaning utensils in there. The dog park is a mulch field of feces, despite being told it was going to be turfed. I moved to Wilmington in 2024 from Myrtle Beach. When making this move I knew I wanted something that felt like “home” as I prepare myself to buy my first home in the next few years. The Cottages at the Riverlights did just that! The cottages themselves just feel so comfortable and homey. The location is perfect, close enough to Carolina Beach, the river, and downtown. Not to mention the sunset views are unbeatable! I cannot thank this community enough for all it offers, and a big thank you to the leasing agents. They truly bring the community together through food trucks, fun activities, and holiday events, oh and the beautiful pool!

From the first encounter.. ease, safety, comfort, and luxury... the clubhouse staff, Zach, Sam, and Cody have made me and my teens feel more than welcome ...we feel at home, it's not just a place to rent. There are loads of events and perks to living in this safe and beautiful community. The amazing maintenance staff shows up within minutes of a text or call. The grounds are always immaculate. Thank you guys, for all of your dedication and caring, fun demeanor. You always have a great way to make us smile or find a solution to even the oddest "problems." Much Love.

There are so many great things about this property that I could say since moving here in July 2024….from the office staff, to the amenities, the maintenance crew and the meticulous way it’s managed and cared for so that the residents feel special and appreciated! Lots of pets live here and friends are made through walking around the property and greeting one another daily. It is well maintained by a stellar maintenance crew who answer requests promptly and thoroughly plus the landscaping is done by a top notch company. Our staff plan food and coffee trucks on a regular basis, events curated towards residents ideas & suggestions, & our office is accessible 24/7 if you decide you need to use the computers, printer or just want a cup of coffee/tea from the self-serve station. I can't say enough about how much my husband and I enjoyed this apartment community. Between the unit itself and the staff, we really liked the living experience here. The apartment felt more like a home, rather than a stereotypical apartment, due to the design. Ground-floor living is very convenient! The neighbors were personable and management was very responsive to our needs, which were few. Maintenance, for the three or four times we called them, were at our home within the day, if not within 90 minutes. We thought we received good value for the money. The only reason we moved out was because our home was built across the street at Riverlights! Otherwise, we probably would have signed a long-term lease.
