I learned an expensive lesson about reading a lease agreement thoroughly. The lease agreement mentioned a "restoration fee" that turned out to be a $440 flat charge (on a $500 security deposit). I do not remember a specific amount being listed on the lease but am unable to access my old portal to check. I am surprised this is even legal, but of course the slum lords with Darden degrees running the place would pull a move like that. There is a reason Bluesky had to "rebrand" from Hasbrouck to Bluesky in 2022. It would be a dream to get landlords to treat their tenants as human beings rather than exploiting them for as much money as they can get. Two young women did not cause $440 worth of cleaning. I have been renting for 7 years now and never encountered a "restoration fee" before. Blues
