The Broadview at Vanderbilt

Everything you read online about this place is true. Don’t go against the narrative or what people tell you. They don’t clean rooms prior to move in, $1800 a month for a tiny 250 sqft studio, no community (if ur a student), $100 lockout fees, $50 trash fees, central controlled AC, COCKROACHES on fourth floor apartments and loud noises from the bars on the street across. I would recommend you request an apartment that is higher up and away from the street bars, but even then, try to find other options. Just because it’s affiliated with Vanderbilt doesn’t mean it isn’t the same as any other apartment and that Vanderbilt Housing will help you with any of your concerns.

Charged me a ridiculous $85 "Heavy Cleaning" fee after I moved out for a little bit of grime left behind, meanwhile when I moved in there was paint scratched off the wall, dishwasher was jammed, and there was trash left behind by the previous tenant. Also clear trash and dust left under the fridge from last tenant.

Predatory fees for bedroom lockouts: $100 when they do not provide a regular key to tenants as an override (just the fob), and don't need a locksmith to get the door open. They're paying someone minimum wage to collect extra rent for the company by coming to your room and instantaneously opening the locked door. Staff were rude and unprofessional during my inquiry about the exorbitant fee. Stay away.

Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. Move in was accessible and easy to navigate. The room is perfect! I like the small space it is perfect for what I need. I’ve toured numerous apartments around this area and these are definitely the most upscale but it’s worth it. And it’s far enough away from the main campus that you don’t intersect with all the students or any of their events. Most of the negative reviews are coming from people who aren’t used to living in an apartment (maintenance always takes a while, and buy a noise machine if you can stand hearing water rushing). Also get used to using Instacart for groceries because the Turnip Truck is expensive for everyday groceries (but to be fair so is any store around the vandy area) the small space is perfect for grad students and inter

I’ve lived at this property for two years, and unfortunately, it has been one of the most disappointing housing experiences I’ve had. My unit had persistent maintenance issues, including an AC unit that produced excessive noise and visible mold that was simply painted over rather than properly addressed. Despite being initially told I would receive a prorated rent adjustment due to specific circumstances, that offer was later withdrawn without explanation. Additionally, I experienced poor support from management. On one occasion, I was locked out of my apartment and was told by the on-call staff that someone would arrive within 15 minutes. Instead, it took over an hour and a half for them to show up. I also found communication with certain staff members, particularly Brooke, to be unhelpf
