The Botanica

Horrific management. Just look at the comments that the Botanica management is leaving on some of the harsh negative comments on the building. If they have this kind of attitude on a public forum, imagine how they will treat you in private. For whatever problem you reach out to the management, "Sam Goodman" will ensure they respond in the most unprofessional and condescending tone and manner. Everything that people say about this place is true. Thin wall, non-transparent grill fee, "movie theater" with barely any sound, golf simulator room that never happened, etc. If you think you can use any of the office rooms, think twice because every single word you say in that meeting will be heard throughout the hallway. Fees. So many fees. Like the other comments mentioned, the rent is not cheap

This building symbolizes what's wrong with New York. I don't want to sound negative, but I still struggle to find the positives. If you want to drill a hole in your apartment, they charge you 50 USD per hole. Using the amenities? That will cost you 100 USD. If you want to use anything, you need to pay for it. And if you do pay, you may be surprised by the poor quality. Don't expect great sound from the movie room's speaker when using the 150 USD projector. They charge 50 USD per hour with a 100 USD minimum. Good luck trying to hang your bike in the bike room; if you bike regularly, you can substitute that for the gym fees. So far the apartment has been great and management is very responsive. we were one of the first people to move in and they are still working out the kinks. check out the view from the rooftop: It’s amazing.

The apartment is somewhat nice. Management seems inexperienced, at times unprofessional in their tone and responses, and doesn't attempt to dispel the notion that they see tenants as an ATM machine. Pros - maintenance is quick and responsive. Apartments have some thoughtful features (two levels of lighting in the kitchen and bathroom), roof is nice with comfy furniture and nice views and the gym, while basic, is also nice. Air conditioning units are surprisingly energy efficient and I have found energy bills to be very reasonable. Cons - Top of market rent for the area.The package room was a disaster (and kinda continues to be, with a little bit of improvement after multiple complaints). Fees for everything. Seeing a lot of negative reviews but I love this building ♥️ Recurrent comments say the grills fees don’t make sense and tbh they don’t but that’s really the only con. This building is very well maintained, very efficient, great views and super close to the train and some of the best that Brooklyn has to offer.
