Unsafe, Unsanitary, and Deceptive: Severe Pests & Dangerous Road Neglect As a current resident of five months, I am leaving this 1-star rating due to absolutely unacceptable living conditions and gross neglect of the property. Prospective renters need to be fully aware of what they are moving into. 1. Severe and Unresolved Pest Infestation: Since the day I moved in, my unit has been plagued by a severe roach infestation that has only worsened over five months. Despite repeated contact with management, the problem persists. The constant presence of pests is a serious health and sanitation concern. Thinking of moving to The Ascend? Save your money! The grounds are a complete mess, and it’s not worth what they charge. Seriously, don't do it. Been here a year the grass only been cut 5 times and its all weeds! Front office is non existent. Its a Jungle here!

I almost NEVER write reviews, but my goodness, I had to leave one for this team. The management is unreachable, and the rare chance they are, they are short, condescending, and never fail to make me feel stupid for asking questions! Terrible customer service at the leasing office and they treat you like you are a nuisance to them. I have never in my life met a team so unprofessional and incompetent. I’ve always talked to them with utmost respect, “yes ma’am, no ma’am, yes sir, no sir”, and they continue to talk to me as if I’m a 5 year old!! I simply don’t understand how the people you PAY so that you can live in their community do not care about their residents. Clearly I’m not the only one who feels this way. More recently I have been lied about by a leasing management person. Never in my life have I had to endure such treatment- don’t say you weren’t warned… I only hope this causes the owner to clean this place up for future tenants. Time will tell if they do the right thing for not only my emotional, and health situation but the financial costs involved .

We lived at the Ascend for 9 months and loved our time here. The location on the bay is beautiful and the apartments are newly renovated with beautiful appliances. The office staff was always friendly and accommodating. They are pet friendly (a must) and are in a convenient location that is less than 3 minutes from the breeze way and 7 minutes to downtown. If you’re looking for a new home at a great price while being close to downtown, you found it!
