Ace has been the property manager for our 3 rental units since July of last year. In the last few months something has changed. He has owed us rent for months. It is mid-July and we have May, June and July unpaid from one unit and no answers to requests for payment. We also have two other rents due to us with bank confirmed cashed checks. When I said we were coming to pick up a payment for overdue rent, he said he was at City Hall dealing with a tenant complaint issue for our unit. I called City Hall and was told this was not true since City Hall is closed and they would have contacted us if there was an issue - so a straight out lie.
