The 1800 at Barrett Lakes Apartments

Do NOT lease at 1800 Bear Lakes. They are friendly when you move in, but once you sign the lease, good luck getting anything fixed. We submitted multiple maintenance requests for mold in the toilet, under the toilet, and even in our storage unit. Every single time, the request was closed the next day without anyone coming out. No inspection. No repair. Nothing. I paid for my own mold test, and it confirmed mold in the apartment. I emailed the manager the results. No response. I went in person and was told there was “nothing she could do” and that someone would come. It’s been almost a year. No one ever came. The worst part my wife smelled what seemed like gas coming through the air vent. She reported it and was told it sounded like an emergency and someone would be sent immediately. No on

We lived here for a year and a half until we bought our first home. We were the ideal tenants: no complaints, no late payments, and no damage whatsoever. The management consists of a team of some of the most incompetent and unhelpful people imaginable. They charge thousands of dollars in fees if you try to leave early, and they NEVER repair anything on the facility grounds. They don’t know or understand their own lease terms, and they fail to answer the most basic questions. After our experience, I’d rather live in my car than at this apartment complex again.

We had an amazing experience with Marquetta during our move into our new apartment! She was incredibly helpful from the very beginning, taking us on tours of different apartment options and providing detailed breakdowns of pricing and all the fine print. She went above and beyond to help us secure a garage and ensure that any issues were resolved before our move-in date. Even after we moved in, she continued to assist us, making the transition smooth and stress-free. Plus, she’s just a great person—fun, friendly, and always willing to help. Everyone in the office was helpful too. And Oscar was quick to help fix a couple things for us in the assortment. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

My family felt very welcome and at home while viewing the upgraded 2-bedroom, 2-bath Atlanta Renovated unit.
