Temple Nest Apartments

They falsely advertise that the place comes furnished and with appliances. You could ask them to fix the dishwasher, fix the tv, treat the place for roaches a million times for nothing. It’s really frustrating that I moved into the apartment in August and it is the end of December and they still didn’t bother treating the roach problem. I asked for the dishwasher to be fixed with no luck. I don’t know why they seem so negligent of these very basic needs. On top of it all they mark the issue as resolved on their site. And they show you a very nice place but they move you into a trashed smelly apartment that has very dirty furniture and when I asked for just the couch to be replaced only because it is too dirty and smelly, They ignored my request. Bad service this year.

I had a great experience. Tom was an awesome landlord and responsive to our requests. The location and building security was awesome. I would recommend.

You're paying for the location, let's be honest. The amount of space you get is pretty minimal, especially if you rent off campus or in other parts of Philly. We also were on the ground floor and had mice(management did pay someone to come set poison and traps). However, if you're coming from out of state, feel comfortable spending a lot of money for a pretty small room and a shared bathroom, or are an exchange student--I suppose this is an OK-option. Since I paid my own rent, I probably wouldn't live here again, but that's a personal preference in terms of wanting more value for my money. Mike is the best and is the reason I didn't lose my mind living here.

My son spent 2.5 years at the Temple Nest apartments and had a great experience there. The maintenance staff were available whenever my son needed anything and were eager to assist in any way. Mark Simpson was fantastic as a property manager and he was always available to answer any questions in a timely fashion.

I attended Temple University for grad school and lived at Temple Nest for a year. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for off campus housing. Safety was a huge concern of mine so I wanted an apartment that was in a safe location and where I felt comfortable when I go to bed every night and I definitely felt that way living here. I am from Texas and did not bring my car but it was no problem as the Fresh Grocer, Dunkin Donuts, 7-11, train/bus station, and campus were minutes away by walking. Additionally, these apartments are way more affordable than what's nearby. You would think that if it's so much cheaper than there must be something wrong with them, right? WRONG.
