Tellus Apartments

We lived in the Tellus for 8 years and really enjoyed having it as home. We started in a one-bedroom, and spent the last 3 years in a two-bedroom with an incredible view. There were many people that made our time there special, like Walter and George at the front desk, and Gerard from maintenance. A few people have left over the years but also made it great- Jeanean, Renee, Jose and Marvin, Ponise, Sherrie, and Kayla, for example. Overall it was a great place to be for this chapter in our lives, and will always hold a special place for us.

I can't express enough how much I loved this apartment complex! It's in a perfect location that is safe and walking distance to the Courthouse Metro station. This is extremely convenient when you want to go out in DC without driving your vehicle. The rooftop view is amazing and honestly one of the best in Arlington and DC. The interior design of the apartment layout is modern and I love that there are hard wood floors throughout and no carpet. The leasing office is outstanding! I'd like to give a special shoutout to Myisha, whose customer service skills are top tier. She was very helpful with finding us an apartment for the best price, and answered any questions or concerns that we had. Greg and Myisha were both very involved, especially with the events that were sponsored by the complex

I just concluded my second stint in the Tellus in 4 years and was extremely happy with both experiences. Melanie remembered me from when we first lived there and Jamal as an excellent manager to work with the second time. When I first moved in the building was definitely a younger more lively crowd, but that has changed which is expected as new buildings open up and people migrate, but the more quiet vibe was definitely welcome this time around. I moved in during the middle of the pandemic and got a great deal on the largest 1br. It was the perfect spot to work from home in. As with All buildings during Covid they were careful about restrictions, etc. But it was easy to make reservations for amenities, etc. I never had any problem with noise or anything. The least tenant friendly policies I’ve ever experienced at an apartment complex. They require cashiers checks (with no online option). When you get locked out they refuse to give you an ETA for when they will let you back in and it takes over an hour if it’s not during business hours. Would strongly recommend avoiding this apartment building.

I can’t even begin to express how excited I am to move out. I've lived here for just over two years, and things have gone completely downhill since this summer, with management being the main problem. Greg Uy consistently sends out threatening emails, makes excuses, and outright lies about amenity access and the timing for repairs. To prospective renters, you might be pitched on the amazing rooftop, but here's the reality: it's nice, but you can only use it until 8 pm, have just two guests at a time, and only if there are fewer than 18 people up there. That's right—out of over 1,000 residents, only 18 can use the rooftop at once. From a maintenance perspective, everything is falling apart, and repairs are extremely delayed.
