Tanglewood Place

I lived at Tanglewood Place for two years, and my experience was fantastic from start to finish. When I was apartment hunting, I had a list of around 40 places in Tyler and toured several. Tanglewood and its two sister properties, Autumn Glen and The Hudson, (didn't know at the time) stood out immediately — they were by far the cleanest inside and out. The apartments are a little dated in terms of appliances, but unlike many others I toured (even some newly renovated ones), there were no lingering cigarette smells or other issues. It actually smelled clean! Plus the kitchen has lots of counter space and storage, and you actually get a washer/dryer in the apartment, which most don't offer. I lived here for only 7 months but it was the best apartment I had in Tyler. It's a small community which I liked because it made me feel more personable with the staff. Chris is super friendly and helpful and Kelly and Bob are hands down the best, most punctual maintenance team I've ever known. In just a month, they knew me by name. At one point Kelly drove 45 minutes to help us get into our apartment after we accidentally locked ourselves out in the middle of the night. They also let us borrow a couple portable air conditioning units when our AC had to be replaced.

We looked at 10+ apartments before deciding to go here and this place was truly the best choice. The management is wonderful. It’s a quiet place. Always enough parking. Sure the appliances are a little dated but they work! Maintenance is quick and awesome. The only downfall that didn’t work for us was 1) Being on second floor and 2) Not the best place if you have young kids. There is no spot for them to play. Even tho there is designated dog spots, people let them go everywhere. Only thing for kids to do is the pool really. Anyway, 5/5 recommend this place!

Thanks to all the staff for working so quickly to get our hot water working during this winter storm. 😀 I have recently moved after 5 years of living here. I miss the staff already. Every single person in the office always so helpful. If they have a unit available, you better jump on it.

I’ve been living at Tanglewood place around 6 years I’ve lived all over the property 2 bedrooms 1 bath,two bedrooms 2 bath and loved the care and good customer service I received . Ms.Chris , Elizebeth and maintenance Bob & Kelly ,I want to thank you all for making my stay pleasant ..The section I live in now is mostly seniors like myself we all look out for each other it’s a blessing to have people around that make you feel safe ,Thank you All @ Tanglewood Place Apartment Homes A.James
