Swedes Real Estate

We’ve rented from Swede’s Real Estate almost every summer since 2016, but our most recent stay (summer 2025) was awful. We rented two houses- I Love Crystal Beach Weddings & Events. Both were dirty (stains, grimy surfaces) and the kitchens were poorly stocked. Missing basics, with random appliances scattered around, and every pan had peeling non stick coating. Unsafe to use. The beach view house had filthy carpets and the entire place smelt like mildew/mold. The comforters we had to wash ourselves in both houses. The second house had a broken freezer (our food spoiled), no ice, and no working Wi-Fi despite a tangle of routers and cords in the closet. Rugs were stored dirty and covered in hair. We’ve loved this company for years, but the quality has gone downhill fast. We won’t be renting

Swedes is always on point! The customer service as well as their properties are great. The pictures of this property definitely matched upon arrival, which is a huge PLUS! I would definitely recommend others to check out their website and book a reservation! You will not be disappointed. I absolutely love everything about this property (Salt & Lime), because it has a high-end, luxurious feel to it. From the kitchen to the master bathroom, everything is so beautifully designed. It's like our home away from home.

The ladies in the office are Top Tier! From the first phone call all the way through the booking process. They were so helpful and knowledgeable about everything on the peninsula. We were so grateful and blown away by the hospitality.

So..... no, absolutely never again. I am also offended as a Swede. Do better seriously. Customer service is horrible and they have roaches at the Three Sons house we stayed in. Please get that fixed it is really bad with the German Roaches. Internet is not great either. I gave a two star instead of one due to the fact it was a great location , neighbors are nice , beach was close. The place is super cute , just a bummer we had to wake up to roaches all over the place and not offering us another place, we drove 5 hours so we were not going to let that ruin our fun. However, we had to make sure our suitcases and bags did not come back with those critters in them. Also , why do we have to bring our own toilet paper or get a charge to be provided. Stayed at the clam digger beach house. First the good. Lovely ladies in the office were very helpful and patient. The place was reasonably clean and updated. Great location with a nice sliver of ocean view between 2 houses. Not too far to walk to the beach with your gear for the day. Good food and large store nearby. 4th of July fireworks lasted more than an hour of steady awesome entertainment, with intermittent awesomeness for another hour or so. All the awesomeness being so awesome, a few issues were as follows. The largest for us ( which will probably keep us from staying at a Swedes rental again) was not expecting to have to pay extra for bed linens and bath towels. If you don't arrange it in a timely manner they may not be able to provide these. We have stayed in many types of places
