Sunburst Apartments

I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews. I’m a woman who lives on my own and I feel safe here. The workers are all friendly, they say hi in passing, one has even helped me with my trash when he noticed my hands were full. And the maintenance is great, trash is picked up daily, the landscaping is done weekly, and a service request I placed was handled literally the next day. Is it a 5 star resort? No. But for the cost you can’t go wrong. The only downside is that I never got a key fob after being here close to a year, but that’s no issue seeing you can reach over the fence to open the pool. The new parking policy is the stupidest thing. Why all of a sudden?? First of all our assigned parking spots are so far from our unit. And if I have a guest they have to park on the street? What is the reason?! Safety? Cause cars are still getting broken into and bums are always walking in here. And all the “security” does is drive around once or stay and gossip with people. Can’t wait til my lease is over. Would never ever recommend this place to anyone.

The parking situation here is awful. I’m forced to park far away from my unit, which feels unsafe especially at night. There are plenty of open spots, but we still aren’t allowed to park closer. It used to be first come, first serve and that worked just fine. Changing to assigned parking has only made things worse and way more inconvenient. The property has zero guest parking. Guest must park on the street which hardly has any parking & is far from your unit. I’ve been living here for 6+ years and never had any parking issues.

UPDATE: ON TOP OF FORCING YOU TO PARK PLACES INCONSIDERATE TO YOU AND HAVING NO GUESTS PARKING, THEY DO RANDOM PROJECTS ON PROPERTY WITH NO NOTICE OR, IF YOURE LUCKY, A DAY NOTICE. THEY ARE RESTRIPING OUR APARTMENTS AND TELLING US TO MOVE OUR CARS FROM 8AM-8PM (FROM THE ASSIGNED SPOTS THEY GAVE US) AND IF THEY ARENT MOVED THEY WILL TOW YOUR CAR. MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE UNLESS YOU WANT CONSTANT RULES AND PROBLEMS. They have permitted parking with assigned spaces with no consideration to where your apartment is and only permitted cars can park on their property, despite there being so many open spaces without the permits. No one has argued over parking in the 3 yrs I have lived here yet they now choose to enforce it. There is no immediate access to street parking except for a good distance walk

The parking rule is one of the dumbest things this apartment complex has ever done!!! I used to live here and parking would be first come first and you’re telling me whenever I visit my daughter I can’t even park inside. Ridiculous and not to mention they have to walk further to get to their unit? That’s just unbelievable.
