Strathmore House Apartments

This Place is complete and utterly Poor in Quality and in Service. Stayed here for a year and it has been a nightmare for a year. The beginning of the rental; they full out refuse to give us a permanent parking pass(Because the tags weren't from Maryland), so there was the hassle of having to go to the Leasing office every month for a temp pass (or get your car towed at your expense). The apartment was Condemned once. There are Pests/Mold growth constantly, and for a second time they towed my truck (That we Tenant had to Pay for). Jesly and Johana were super nice and very pleasant to work with. They’re both bilingual, which made communication easy, and they make a great team together. The maintenance guy who helped us out was also really helpful. The area looks clean and well kept, overall a good experience!

This place hasn’t been bad to me, the maintenance has been good always on time( Isaac) has been great with every work order I put in. The only worst problem I have encountered is the unbearable noise from my neighbor above me. These people shout, run and bang stuff on the floor till 4am yet when I signed my lease I was given clear instructions not to make noise for other people which I did but for my case haven’t been able to sleep for the past 5 months since my neighbors moved and I called, sent emails to the office to me help with this issue but they never addressed it. Can’t wait for my lease to end in April so that I move.

BEWARE!!! This place has the most nastiest, money-hungry scum tow company, working OVER-time to tow their hard-working, (low-income) residents! This tow company is brutal. Want to have a guest over for Christmas, at 8:00pm? Forget it! They will be out $150 real quick. And god forbid you have a visitor stop by for 30 minutes! Nope! Towed. The sad part is, there’s is plenty of parking spaces available. Trust me folks, there are far more better places to rent from and pay your hard earned money to, that have nearby visitor parking without the towing. Not to mention, all of the kitchen appliances are physically falling apart (stove, dishwasher, fridge etc). They didn’t close the black water filled swimming pool until winter time. I currently live in these apartments and thought I’d leave an unbiased review since a lot of these reviews are lacking context. There has been a mouse problem for a couple months. NOT due to cleanliness but because there used to be trees located behind the complex that all got taken down for construction starting late 2018. Hence, leaving the mice nowhere to go but to surrounding apartments. All homes and apartments in the area became infested. Management does everything it can to help us exterminate and catch these creatures BUT they breed quickly. Now that it is summer 2020, the infestation is nearly gone completely and I am hopeful that mice have relocated to another area and won’t come back in the winter.
