Station Nine

I’ve been really impressed with the progress and improvements happening at Station Nine lately. It’s clear that management and the office staff are putting in a lot of effort to enhance the community and overall living experience. The grounds, amenities, and common areas continue to look better each month, and you can tell they’re focused on creating a more enjoyable environment for residents. The office team deserves a special mention… they’ve been friendly, responsive, and genuinely care about making things right when issues arise. You can feel the difference in communication and follow-through compared to other local communities. It’s great to see a property in Durham that’s actively improving and investing in its residents’ experience. Keep up the great work!

The apartment is good for its location and proximity to 9th street and units generally have a good layout. That said, there is a need for a lot of improvement. The appliances are old and the dishwasher is essentially non functional. I have submitted multiple maintenance requests but to no avail. Insulation is also not the best and for most storms I will get water leak into the apartment from the windows. Some amenities have been upgraded recently but given the other options available nearby I would not choose this complex if I had to decide again.

Spent some great time of my life at Station nine during my MBA at Duke University. Made new friends and lots of sweet memories. The apartment complex has everything. Swimming pool, gym, pet shower room, common play room, basketball - the list goes on. The management is very prompt in solving any issues that crop up. Best part is they promptly refunded the deposit - no cut - when I left the place. Such a great location. Right across the street from Harris Teeter. My apartment was at ground floor and opened up to a private garden. Never had any complaints here.

I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to any Duke student. Surrounding apartments like Avalon or B9 are newer, have better amenities and treat people better. I’ve been here for 5 months now; paying $125 monthly for internet and there has not been a single month without problems. We are all tired of the situation and they don’t seem to care. You are better somewhere else.

I’ve had ongoing WiFi problems at Station Nine for months, and the lack of support has been incredibly frustrating. I rely on stable internet to study, but instead I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with the provider while the apartment staff has done nothing to help resolve the issue. Every time I ask for assistance, they tell me to call the service provider and then the ISP tells me to “talk to the apartment.” I’m stuck in the middle with no working WiFi, no accountability from either side, and yet I’m still being charged full price for a service I don’t even have. The complete lack of urgency or willingness to help residents is unacceptable. If you need reliable internet or responsive management, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
