Spruce Park Apartments

I’ve lived here for a year, and I genuinely cannot wait to leave. This place is a perfect example of how awful management can completely ruin an apartment complex. The units themselves are mediocre at best, but the real problem is the complete lack of care, urgency, or professionalism from management. Maintenance is a joke. If something is actively flooding, they’ll come running. Anything else? Forget it. I had a light break in my first month here and after MULTIPLE requests and scheduled appointments, it is STILL not fixed. Toilets clog? You’ll be waiting hours. They only care when the damage is bad enough to affect them. The management team is hands down the worst I’ve ever dealt with. They're cheap. They're on 162nd. Do NOT start a fire in the fireplace. We could see daylight through the cracks around our front door. That said, the bedrooms were good sized, and I loved the bathroom setup. Our unit had a bathroom with a double sink/ vanity and a door separating the sinks from the shower and commode. It was nice to be able to put on makeup without waiting for the steam to clear. They were fair to me, rented to me when I was in a tight spot, and gave back almost my entire security deposit in under 3 weeks when I moved out.

This is the worst place I have ever lived. I did not have heat for two years, I told the manager multiple times. They replaced the thermostat once, the heater still did not work. They made zero attempt to fix the problem after that. I had a cockroach infestation that needed to be eradicated. My sliding glass door was facing 162nd and was shattered from gunfire, and when i called to tell them this they told me it would be at least two days before anyone could even come to board it up. I had to essentially hope that the gang members that shot at each other wouldnt see it and come and rob me. After leaving the apartment directly after that, I was told by new hopeful apartment managers that the old one was giving extremely negative feedback, saying i was murdering cats and hiding them in

The property is well maintained; management is readily accessible and attentive to tenant needs. As a tenant, I feel I am kept informed of events and would recommend checking Spruce Park Apartments out if looking to move.

They have never answered the phone for me and I have been calling for 2 months during business hours
