During the title process, they were no responsive or communicative with anyone: buyer, seller, mortgage broker or real estate agents. They accidentally added a random buyer to paperwork and my closing took over 2 hours because more paperwork was messed up. I’ve heard the Santa Fe office is good, but can’t recommend the Espanola branch.
This Southwestern Title and Escrow has been a nightmare to deal with. We had been on hold for over 4 months on a purchase, the title examiner had been the absolute worst to communicate with and absolutely unable to do his job. Even after I was the one getting ALL necessary documents (history, patents, surveys) he gave only conflicting information and dragging the entire process, refusing to do his job, essentialy. I am transferring the file to another title company- it's unacceptable the way we were treated here.
The staff here are very professional and have great attention to detail. I was here today to close escrow on my home. Everyone is polite and professional. They are great communicators during the whole process.
I came in to get some papers notarized and the staff was super helpful and friendly. They were really welcoming and got to me right away. Really professional environment.
