South Rock Apartments

Renting from south rock apartments was a terrible mistake, don’t make it yourself. All they do is scam their renters. For example charging you a “faulty fire alarm fee” for an alarm that went off in another apartment. They wouldn’t even take the proof from the fire department. The women at the leasing office are incredibly rude and charging $60 per semester for a parking pass, in a parking lot that is never full is ridiculous. Don’t rent here and save yourself some hassle with terrible people:)

South Rock Apartments are an absolute disaster. The management is careless, untrustworthy, and completely unfit to run a rental property. They take advantage of renters—especially young people—by creating confusion around policies, issuing last-minute charges with no explanation, and dragging their feet on any kind of support or service. You’ll be met with silence when you need help, and hostility when you push for answers. Every interaction feels like they’re just waiting for you to slip up so they can profit off it. Renting here felt less like housing and more like being stuck in a trap. Steer clear. Would give 0 if possible.

Hands down the worst renting experience I have ever had. I have lived in homes that are a100 years older than this place and it was a million times nicer. I was charged for ridiculous things during move out. Stains and damage that was there prior to move in. Charged for medium/heavy cleaning when I scrubbed every inch of that apartment down to the baseboards and bleached sinks toilets etc.. and when I moved in I found Cheetos in the couch right after move in when my roommate and I have never brought any into the apartment… couches where crumbling from normally everyday use and we where charged for damages (when told by maintenance that these couches are very old and this happens all the time) charged for new light bulbs when the electric didn’t work and you had to flip the switch 6 times t

SCAMMERS! For starters this place sucked. Thin walls you basically had no privacy from your roommates, you could hear other apartments televisions through the walls. The fire alarm goes off about 2 times per week you better hope it’s not while you’re sleeping because the whole place has to evacuate over some burnt food 99% of the time. What really makes me disappointed is when we left we got the apartment deep cleaned and spotless and got charged $280 dollars for a “cleaning fee”. I’ve also lived at The Heights while I went to school in slip and it was 1000x better. Do yourself a favor and don’t move into this scam apartment. (EDIT: Look at the other reviews they have someone replying to the bad reviews why waste your time and instead be an honest company instead of money hungry bottom fee

USE CAUTION WHEN SIGNING HERE -- I have lived for a semester and a half and the end of my lease can't come soon enough. Since move in, my roommate and I have had nothing but problems with our apartment. The leasing office is so unwilling to help, and at one point sent both my roommate and I's calls to voicemail (during office hours) when we were having issues. Even after expressing safety concerns, the leasing office couldn't care less about their tenants safety. The maintenance workers are rude, show up unannounced, and you still get charged for most maintenance requests that are fixed and sometimes left in worse condition then when they came. Parking is a nightmare, beware that even 5 minutes without a parking pass will end up costing you a $100 boot removal fee, no matter the time of d
