I love Smokehouse Lofts' location and its 19th-century colonial feel. It's located nearby the Virginia State Capitol and five recreational parks. It's a smoke-free space, and the apartments are stylish with beautiful windows. I had the opportunity to enjoy the city of Richmond and this building in particular during my tour. The price is reasonable. I recommend these apartments.

I had the opportunity to tour these apartments and they truly capture everything RVA has to offer. The layout is beautiful. The apartment is well maintained and the location couldn’t be better. You’re just steps away from local restaurants, clubs, and only minutes from the James River with a kayaking spot nearby to rent. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a great Richmond living experience.

Living in this apartment was great for the first half but the second half was full of confusion. Upon renewing my lease, I was able to remove my roommate from the lease by providing the income that shows I could afford the rent. My plan was to look for another roommate, just in case. After a month, I asked Mia Alston, the main leasing agent of this property, if I could downsize to a smaller unit since I was no longer looking for a roommate. She said yes, so I put in an application and I was told to pay a reservation fee. Mia Alston then told me I was not approved without a co-signer. The issue I have here is that I should not have been told to pay the holding fee without her first checking whether I am approved or not. I was out of $500 for a week that could’ve been used to secure another

The property has had such a beautiful turn around. The units are well kept up. I love how close it is to my favorite restaurants downtown.
