Smathers Plaza I & II Apartments in Miami

My mother moved in to the Smathers Phase I building at the end of December 2019, while the building was still being renovated. Sometime last year, there was a water leak probably from a pipe a floor above, which leaked through the bathroom ceiling and walls and into the laminate flooring, causing some damage to them. Various times she has asked the office to have someone fix the damaged drywall ceiling that is cracking and the split laminate, to no avail. The maintenance guy has come a couple of times, inspects, and leaves. Never came back. HOWEVER, the worst problem in this building is the issues with the elevators, which many residents have complained to the office about. The facility is very modern and pleasant.

It looks to be clean and conformable to live there.
