Simply Managed of Detroit

Competent. Smart in the right ways. A breath of fresh air in the Detroit housing market. I've recently started working with simply managed, and from the first conversation I got practical, straightforward advice, appropriate follow through, reasonable pricing, and no-nonsense delivery. This is exactly what you want from a property management company. My property was quickly rented before the winter and we will muscle through resolving the issues caused by prior PMs. I'm sure I have other good things to say about them, but you get my point--they are highly respected by other entities in the area, including legal advisors, and it tells you they are among the best in the business. I'm looking forward to this relationship lasting in the positive. Highlights to Chris, Marie, Chloe, and Jimmy.

Extremely poor communication and lack of accountability. The tenant was without a functional shower for 30 days, and I was only notified on the day the shower was finally fixed. To make matters worse, the contractor was not paid because management claimed the repair was unauthorized, despite the tenant stating it had been approved. Management acknowledged the situation was “unfortunate” but stated it was not their responsibility and did not view the delay as a problem. As a result of the nonpayment, the contractor returned and removed pipes and hardware, leaving the shower unusable again. This situation could have been avoided with effective communication, which this company consistently fails to provide. I recommend finding another property management company.

Did work for Jimmy at simply managed, gave great price for what needed to be done, did more than asked, finish before deadline, waiting to be paid for job, been a week, still waiting, will not do any more work for this company.

They don't fix things to code. They hire the cheapest "contractors" they can find. They try to blame tenants as they address concerns and potentially deadly structural issues. Christopher is very unprofessional and uneducated. He's just there for a paycheck Update@! You guys still haven't fixed the house. It's not a first time thing and what does my past landlords have to do with simply managed NOT doing their job? Ignorant

Simply Managed have been my superheroes! We are out of state owners and had an unsuccessful previous experience where the property manager would be evasive and unresponsive. The former property manager would provide some money, but no statements. It was a mess and stressful. Since being with Chris and the team at Simply Managed, our lives have been all the better. They are EXTREMELY responsive, communicative, prepare statments, have an entire platform for the ease of ownership and more. We have had great success with Simply Managed and we highly recommend them to any and everyone. We are no longer stressed or worried with the management of our property. We almost forget we have it because everything runs so smoothly now. We are grateful to the Simply Managed Team!! Thank you!!
