Sierra Vista Apartments

Staff has been incredibly kind to me from start to finish. Halle and Kristen are incredibly helpful with anything that I need as a tenant, especially during a transitionary period of my life! Amazing customer service and problem solving skills. My apartment is nice, neighbors are quiet. I enjoy living here! Thanks SVA!!!!

I am a resident at Sierra Vista. There was a major plumbing issue in my building recently after the office was closed. I called the emergency number and was connected to Mitch, the maintenance supervisor. Mitch was able to get plumber to my apartment very quickly! He kept me updated with updates frequently and he really put my mind at ease during the scary incident. I absolutely love living here! The staff are amazing and super nice! Highly recommended!

Ive rented in Reno for the past 5 years. I single handled lost more money in 5 months of living her through hidden fees and BS move out fees than any other place I’ve lived. They charged me $2,200 in move out fees after saying that EVERY wall in my apartment had some sort of Nick or smudge. The property manager Kristen said instead of cleaning it they decided to repaint the entire apartment and now I have to pay the 1600 dollar painting fee as well as other miscellaneous. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. FIND ANY OTHER COMPLEX THAN THIS ONE.

We've lived here for over two years and have been disappointed by how management has handled recent concerns. We submitted a formal, detailed letter primarily to express our frustration with a rent increase—especially given ongoing issues. After numerous follow-ups and nearly three weeks with no response, we eventually had to visit the office in person just to receive a reply. When we finally did, we were told that “most of these issues are out of [their] control,” with no plan offered to address them. That dismissal was frustrating, especially since the concerns we raised clearly within management’s scope. The response then abruptly shifted to move-out procedures, which felt more like a subtle push to leave—or a mild threat—than a willingness to resolve anything. We also tried to escala

We lived at Sierra vista for three years. There were some ups and downs. But overall we wouldn’t have chosen to live anywhere else in Reno. There was some management change while we were there but everyone was always very pleasant and supportive to the community. Kristen is the manager now and she has really taken it to another level. I believe some experiences can depend on your neighbors but we were lucky in building 7 to have friendly quiet neighbors. The pool was always great for a dip and we utilized the grills and rented the party space often. Lots of cafes and places to enjoy nearby and walkable. Maintenance responds fast and usually will continue to work on project until it’s completed . Thanks Kristen and Sierra vista for a wonderful time living in these apartments.
