Shalimar at Plantation

I have been waiting to officially sign my lease before writing this and I am so excited to now officially be part of this wonderful community. I toured nearly every luxury apartment community in Plantation and I can confidently say not all customer service is created equal. From the moment I walked into Shalimar, I was greeted warmly by Basil, who was already prepared and aware of everything I was looking for in an apartment and trust me, there were a LOT of details. I moved to Shalimar in September, Carinna was super helpful during the process, smooth transition. I love the area and my apartment. I had a couple of issues when I first moved in with the washer and dryer. The maintenance department here is exceptional. They work fast, efficiently and with such a positive attitude always. And Leiter is the best at his job, he always goes the extra mile to help, and such a positive demeanor. He makes the maintenance issue a pleasant experience always.

I moved here three months ago, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. This place has been a nightmare. The rent is overpriced for what you get, and the property does not feel safe. My vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. When I reported it to management, the first thing I was told was, “Don’t tell anyone because we don’t want a scandal here.” The manager suggested that I post in the community chat to gather information about my stolen vehicle. However, after I did so, my post was deleted. I was told there was no proof that the vehicle was stolen from this community. That response clearly showed a lack of concern for residents and their safety. The lease states that this is a 100% smoke-free community. However, I regularly see maintenance employees smoking, a

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Shalimar at Plantation! The location is excellent....within walking distance to Plantation Walk with its restaurants/entertainment, and just a two-minute walk to Publix for groceries. It’s truly a great area to live, with easy access to Miami (about 45 minutes away) and downtown Fort Lauderdale (around 20 minutes). What made my experience especially great was the staff, particularly Gretel and Gina in the leasing office. They were amazing to work with....always considerate, helpful, and genuinely committed to supporting residents. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable!
